Tiny update~ I just realized I have not updated here in eons!! Sorry about that! ~ well if you are not on my FB, this is a tiny update and I am still shipping the Halloween orders , we finished up the singles from the 18th and have now moved onto the 19th and also packing the doubles from the 18-19th ( those are people who placed an order twice with-in the dates I just mentioned;)
We still have a little less then a week of TAT left and we will certainly will be using it all up. Thank you all for being so patient and enthusiastic, I really appreciate it!

Last Summer restock update~

When they are done, it will then be the triples turn ( not many triples about 20 people or so ) and singles placed on the 5th- 8th and then that will be it for the singles and triples.

Then onto the quads and up, but I only have five people or so and they are not that big in quantity of items. So this should go a lot faster then last time as it always does on the restock sales.
And I do believe we have finally finished all the stock counts at last or damn near close, there was a weird glitch in scent counts because I am thinking because of my bozo move having the sale right when BC went down for maintenance. But since everything is just about wrapped up now it will speed shipping up quite a bit.
And if you think I missed an order please let me know, BC did drop a few orders, about seven that I can see ( by comparing the amount of PP notifications to the BC notifications) , hopefully not more then that and I know this because I did a search via paypal when I saw a post someone placed four orders and I only have three for them, but they are in PP, so don't worry we can find them and PP itemizes your order and why I like it, when my site loses your orders it is lost for good. So if you see I missed one of your orders Let Me Know asap!!

And why this: So the Halloween sale will be on BC, I talked to Skye and she agreed it would be best. That damn cart on ML would have to be reconfigured to have a hold and I am not sure I conveyed what I wanted well enough, and I just can't stomach it if it messes up on the Halloween sale which always gets hit the hardest every year. We have crashed three servers at least with the Halloween sale in the past, NOT THIS YEAR!! ( knocks on wood)
And matching up your itemized order with your paypal invoice and many use a different email and a different name , yada yada yada it adds eons of time to the processing of your order, not this year:)
So what we will do from now on that Ginger has some seasoning behind her;), she is going to handle the tiny restocks on the ML site on her own, so its a reverse frame of mind. My site can only handle non rushed low traffic sales. This way we can keep the restocks separate from the main collections, and that way the TAT on the restock items will be super fly fast and not have anything to do with what I am doing with the seasonal collections. So we will NOT be able to combine orders from the two different sites, but we will still combine orders within the same site ( example multiple orders placed on BC will be combined and shipping used refund and same for ML) . We hope this way we can get everyone their staples to them as well. And I will start to preview the Halloween Madness around Thursday.....

Good Morning everyone!:) Been working all weekend and why so quiet. I have to keep strange hours when the mooster is home on the weekends all day, so really... I am NOT a Vampire as some may think ;)... Still on the triples but getting there... We have a major drop of of boxes today, the last of the doubles that didn't make into the shoot on Sat and the beginning of the trips.

Just in time to help me with the Quads and up so we can GET 'ER DONE!! More of an update later this week when we are closi...ng in on this sale about restocks, some things coming are my Herbal Mercy facial scrub, Monoi products and my Calendula infused Olive Oil AKA " Soothing Foot balm", scrub parfaits, the Spray in De-tangler from samps, as well as some things we just had but in much smaller quantities available. Some of the scents added to the line up are : Peach Paradise, Cantaloupe Cooler, Mabon, Lavender Chocolate in other forms , Late Harvest and more. New scents like : What if " Dr. Bombay and the Duchess of Willowdale had a baby?"...., a new mens fragrance called " Sexy Bastard" < name is a clue to the upcoming trivia contest next month.... and the new sultry steamy scents I have been working on for a while now , a couple of you got a tiny preview of those... and a few tiny bits of Fall scents here and there.
The way we list it however.. " Now for something completely different",... Some have asked why I never listed this way before, if I list, sell , pack and ship, seems like a good idea, but I take so long packing- I realized early on when I tried it with the ETSY shop- I spend more time packing then production making, so I was open even less of a time then ever back then. So then I tried, " Hey , lets list enough to make as many people happy as we can, great! Packing still takes forever , but still a better process for me... But NOW that we have competent Ginger! > I can do it the way I would like to:) I make the product, she labels the product , I or mooman finish the final packaging, someone else will pull the orders , Ginger packs them, then ship! THIS way we can list in streams, and a much small amount at a time to keep up, so lets give it a try? Can you hear a slight twinge of giddiness? Means getting close to being done ( or sleep depravation has finally kicked in :))!

Happy Mother's Day everyone!!!

LONG POST WARNING:)~
So tomorrow- I am still working on the second boxes for a few of you, and the singles from late April , early May- which are within TAT- YEA!!. And I did find three small orders I didn't even know I had, and still searching for the paypal invoices for and to hear back from each person.
After that it should all be officially wrapped up tight by this Monday meaning tomorrow. We ran out of couple of 4in1's scents and sprays, that dang cart makes no sense at all. It had me make a bunch more handmade creams that we did NOT need , and not enough 4in1's, figures it would make me work more on the really hard stuff, like a whole batch of 2 oz VCS butter??? But no Peche Melba 4in1( thats the french spelling BTW;)) SO we made a little extra to list of things we ran out of and I also have Eclipse back in stock so that will be added to the left overs as well.
So anyhoo, if I can wrap it tight by tomorrows end meaning nothing left at all for MG, we will do stock counts and relist leftovers this Tuesday evening.
I want to let you know now there is not a lot leftover as we thought there would be, and why I had to wait as well , I didn't dare sell off anything we needed. That stupid cart must not have pulled everything that wasn't "finished" as an order , because of paypal glitching and not letting many people pay that night, I don't think it pulled the stock. I really thought it looked like it did, ahhh the mystery of x-cart..%$#@&*!

But no matter-we are doing short bursts DTM style for a long while now, I will be making batches of stuff then listing, then make more.... and list, and so on.
The only thing I can foresee which will be a problem is you guys are no longer accustomed to not having enough moopoo to go around, and why I always did made to order, so I could offer enough for everyone and not have to predict which scents you wanted, the only shock was almost each and everytime was selling out:)~whoops. Some of you may not agree with that statement about enough to go around, but there has been a lot more people happy then unhappy in the past couple of years.
I do believe if we keep with it this time, for a longer amount of time, it will even out eventually. At some point, I hope by this midsummer , there will be enough and then some for everyone. I think the mistake I made on ETSY was I listed too much at once, and some of it was still made to order. I was shocked when I listed 27 of each scent and it was gone in like two seconds, list another , same thing and so forth, and the nightmare backend of Etsy also added a lot of time to my TAT. The way ETSy is set up people ordered one item at a time then I had to find them all and then give one invoice for each person, IT is no way any of your fault, it is simple ETSY is not suited for larger volume selling.

Another thing I like about BC is I can do a maintenance page and list the new items all at once for the batches I have made, so more variety of products all at once . So you will have more items in matching scents to choose from too. I am still working out how to do "previews" with new scents and products with detailed descriptions , I think I will put them on the ML site still, but no big to do announcements for " Drive thru Moo " items, but I can't really predict how this is all going to work, so please bare with me while I work it all out, and I am open to suggestions too.

And when there is an LE collection I will announce it here and blog and my site moonalisa.com, and it will be much much smaller in the amount of variety, for instance only four LE scents at time with about five products for each scent, so tighter and faster for everyone. And those will be on the moonalisa.com sight as well as previews for LE collections.

Skye is right , that cart is a nightmare, so I have made a new Bigcartel site for now until I figure out what can be done and what there is to do with my cart. There will be some work going on with the tags and links on ML soon, we hope the wonderful guy who is going to try can figure it out can succeed where we could not. Skye and I have tried a million times to find where to change the blog link and others and can not see it anywhere.
So to save me even more time and give me less of a headache for paperwork I think its best we move back to BC for awhile, they have added so many new cool things to their carts, products variants, digital downloads, so many possibilities and gift certificates too!! I LOVE bigcartel I really do!! And your orders are all on your paypal invoices so no more hunting them both down~ awesome!!!
This should make it easier for EVERYONE for a while. It makes me so mad that the BC cart can do so much where mine which cost a small fortune is a piece of poo! I LOVE LOVE the design, HATE with all my heart that cart, but I digress...

Still packing, going to bed, super pooped. Only got the big dogs left ( I say that with the utmost affection) and more complex internationals I never do when tried, too costly to fix, and also left are three singles placed in Jan, they are done, just needing final weighing for the most cost effective shipping. Then only ten little singles left place from Feb 1st-present, those will go super fast~ DH got called away today but will be here tomorrow to help me out and get these to the post, and I held back a few that were done but with truffles, we got a little heat wave here today, but its already passed , so they will go in the morn when it cool. Ok. One. More. Day.!

So the triples I have only about three left total, doubles about nine, singles about twenty-four, and the big guys aka quads on up about eighteen more, not including the seven I have on the work table right now finishing up.
I am having so much trouble with our printer /computer communication, I am going to go ahead and print as many shipping labels as I can ahead of time to save frustration and further delays. I normally do not do that unless I am right on your box, but it is costing so much time right now and I am so close to the end anyway, I hope that is ok with everyone. I estimate this sale to be wrapped up by this Monday night at the latest.
So bottom line is if I print your label expect it to be shipped within four days or sooner of printing. And the singles -triples I have refunded immediately so far upon printing your label, but the quads and up I will refund the extra shipping paid with in a week. reason being I have to sit down " calmly " and figure each person out on a case by case basis, as you bigger guys already know, most of you have more complicated issues to work out with past invoices , international shipping fees and what have yous.

I am done with all the triples from the 18-20th, a couple just need me to print the cns, but paypal keeps timing out on us and giving an error with the applet plug in so the shipping cont. below...label on some were not printed correctly. So we are switching to Endica or the rest of the labels. But don't worry, I figured out how to make sure you get a tracking email now.

I am currently packing the quads from the 18th, after the quads from the 18th, back to the singles from later dates, doubles , triples and Quints. Got some fam biz this afternoon,

ok! quick update busy busy day ahead!
So I pushed myself late last night or should I say early early this morning, and got every single last single done in the 900-1199!! Yea!
And..... I am popping the cherry for the single orders in the 1200's placed from the 18th-19th today, and as I progress , I will keep hitting the rest of the single 1200's until finished.

Multiple Order News: I am still on the multiples placed the 18th-19th in the doubles, then onto the triples and so forth.
The heaviest load was the singles again so that is now done, and the next heaviest is the doubles from the 18th- 19th ( I have been attacking them as I did the singles, but now can give my full attention) .

And I reorganized my folders and I think I have only about 27 people left from the 18th with a double, so not too much longer before I hit the triples. After the triples , are the bigger and bigger hitters but they start to get smaller and smaller in number of people as the amount of orders for each person goes up.

I think I can safely say today, there is now a pinhole of light at the end of the MG tunnel, now to just keep pushing forward until I can get to the bigger and bigger rocks and clear to home!

oh- one more thing, the " Magic" post is sitting on boxes again , and also after they drop them off in San Jose, which is about an hour and a half from here, I have no idea why. There has been budget cuts so maybe... But we will try to use the local one here in town instead as much as we can to help speed delivery time up, we would use them more but their hours just don't work with my DH's work hours and I don't drive , and the reason we use the Vallejo one so much, plus drop off window no line- bonus! So anyhoo, point being , sorry for all the last big drop offs just sitting in the Cali post for no reason, but I had no control over it. ok~bye

Ok, got a few internationals that are done and just need us to weigh and print the shipping labels. Most of them are first class international so I will let the DH take over and use Endica for the shipping program. They are going to Scotland, Germany, Netherlands and a few to Canada. And a few final touches for the last of the singles in the 1000's and one left in the 900's I missed. So tomorrow I will be on the single 1100's and the multiples in 900-1100's... pant , pant .pant, I will go as fast as I can!!

Ok ~ another small update, not another update!!
I have a few singles in the 900's left that need invoicing and that is all, two of which are internationals, so you will be getting an email from me shortly.:)
And I have broken the cherry for the singles in the 1000's!!! Hooray~~~
OMG!~ it took bloody forever, I know!! So sorry, but as you may have guessed by now about 85%- 90% of the 900's ARE singles and why sooo long. Not the 1000's, I "think" I have only about 20 or so , then onto the the 1100's like I said unsure about how many because of the time out with my email and paypal's glitch with their notifications at the same time. So once I get to the 1100's I will have to copy and paste your email address into paypal's search engine, so if you have a different one on the ML invoice I may not see you are a multiple, so please email me at: orders@moonalisa.com
so I don't start pulling my hair out and cussing looking for the invoice under an email address that isn't on paypal:)
I am hoping it won't take really any extra time too much, because I will be doing the multiples for the 900-1100's at the same time so I need to search anyway..... ok, I am rambling, goodnight:)

ok~ OMG! - So NOW I remember why I don't make the Bath Chocolates anymore! But they are done- so yea!! I have learned sooo much more about ---top ---secret---- things, I have learned and expanded my knowledge of new and exciting techniques using the new equipment! I can NOT wait to have some time to play and invent new and exciting things for you guys!
SO the 900's will fly now , then onto the singles 1000's which are few, then onto doing the single 1100's while simultaneously multi's in the 900-1100's. And so on and so forth with the higher order numbers.And I am behind on emails from the last few days, I have read them so they are in my brain:), I have been completely immersed in finishing up the stuff I need to do, so I will try to answer everyone in the next few days. And the restock is still going to happen for all the items that were duplicated orders, so no worries on that!! And if you had an invoice lost and still wanted me to invoice you, I think I have contacted you all by now, and if not please email me again before I re-list your items, I would be mortified if I sold the stuff you wanted.Thank you all so much for bearing with me this one last time while we do it this way! ♥

Ok, a little slower then I thought getting out the gate , but we are still in the race.

Orders for singles will start to move today~yea!
I took a few, but only a very few pics of the candles as they shipped.

All were one of a kind as far as the paper "cuffs" for the soy candles. I had a blast making them, so thank you all who ordered!!

And also a big thank you for those who ordered later and are still waiting , they are coming.

DTM #1 one is done!

Shipping labels just need printing and boxes dropped off and then onto DTM round two!! Wow- can I say that was really not smart of me to put a faster TAT sale right behind the never ending HALLOWEEN crashed sale!!! What was I thinking??? I am pooped! But will recover:)

Ok - currently for DTM round one the samples going around are:

The solid scrub truffle in Chocolate Buttered Rum , the pecan pie soap ran out awhile ago,
so then there is the Lemon Curd Tart with Coconut whipped cream and graham cracker crust with ground walnut layer for scrubby goodness soap ( that was a mouth full), then the disappearing bath oil in my oldie but a goodie scent "Aurora", please do not use if allergic to any flowers, this one is loaded with eo's and comes from a 100 year old recipe of 27 different components to entice the feelings of joy, a cocoa-butter base butter , NOT my own recipe in Chocolate fo & Lavender eo, oh and the milk facial cleanser for sensitive as well as other skin types in Rose and Frankincense eos.

First and foremost- there will be cupcakes !:)
2nd- I can't loads tons and tons at first because of the TAT being faster, but this is the first DTM. The idea is to keep it open as much as possible so I can still do my limited edition artisan collections at a much smaller volume with a longer TAT which they NEED for me to do what I need to as an artisan.

Normally what happens is the faster made items which I can get help making sit in the stock room for weeks waiting for me to finish the harder artisan stuff that I can NOT get help making, so it seemed pointless to have that happen anymore. All of these boxes of product just waiting for me to be as close as possible to being all finished to start the shipping process...... While some just ordered the faster stuff and I can totally understand why people can get antsy waiting when they didn't even order the harder stuff, so I am separating the two.

3rd- But we will re-list stuff as I finish making more stuff in days to follow, not RIGHT away, but soon after....
The point of DTM is for me or helpers to be able to make and re-list product as it is made.
This way it can also free me up on how many I need to make, so I don't have to make a ton of each , I can list just a batch or two as I make it.
Because when I do a limited seasonal collection it is limited, but I still have to make a metric ton on each item in order to be able to offer them at the volume we have now not sell out in five minutes, and in some cases 12-20 batches of each item, so it takes a bloody long time for for each and every product to be made, even when I have some already made of the harder stuff.
For example, first -I come up with the concept, and to come up with the scent, I first have to hand formulate and make each scent, in some cases formulate the product recipe itself, hand make the product, design the labels, package the product, and the theme of the boxes , the packing of the box itself, yada yada yada- all of which add up to a really long TAT. And to be able to offer each season I am already working on the next season in concept and component ordering as well as design and packaging and supplies , so its a huge ever rolling snowball turning and turning and turning.

so what is the TAT for the opening of DTM ???
, this first one is 10-15 workings days out my door. It still takes me forever to pack boxes and why NO paper ephemera in DTM boxes, NO combining orders, so sorry but it takes a long time in organizing , finding and then refunding , no time for DTM, they will still have tissue and shred but not the normal Moona box, these are faster.... and this way I can have help packing too ( so far everyone HATES! helping me with the packing of the boxes Moona style~ they say I am anal;))

And the product we are working on a basic label so I don't have to worry about themes, and have spoke to Kira about having a label to match the site, BUT for this first one , since it is during the Holidays, they are seasonal this time and may be in the future too, but we shall see.

And as far as what is already made, some of the stuff that will be listed this first DTM is made , but not all , but most, the creams are a base so they are done,
the scrub is my base from scratch and I have made it , and it is currently resting in large tubs just waiting to be scented and layered and jarred.
the leftovers are of course done, but I don't know what we will have until the final Hallo orders are finished up, so soon. I do still have a good amount of stock left from other sales that I will list, like tons of lip butters and some bath bomb bags etc....

The cup cakes are not done, but since I am still packing the Hallow orders, I have had no time yet, but I will be making them next week. I have a ton of molds to make them faster, and have been working on the recipe long enough now for your freebie cakes, that I now have it dialed so I can make them fast!!

and because of the crash guys, some orders are in my files as processing a few days later then the date they were really placed, it is the result of the cart working itself out days after the crash. So I am going loosely in day order since many of the singles I am coming up on look as if they were placed as late as the 22nd, , but your paypal shows the 19th and I do not have time at this point to open each and every order invoice to match up the dates then put them in order and I don't want to punish someone for my crash drama.

All Hallows Bathing Dust

Hey:)

Just a little update so you don't think the goblins ran away with me and hid me in the forest!
We are close!!! If we had not lost a week due to the shooting at our daycare we would be good as gold, so its still a mountain sized nerve ball for me.

The Strange Sisters collection is in its final phases of tweaking the labels and such.

And I did give out a very few oil samples of the collection, but..... I wasn't completely satisfied and Shadow had morphed into something oogly, so I did a redo last week, late I know but I can't let anything go unless I love it.

So all of the Strange Sisters collections are done but Faustine, I have the powders and body butters left to do but shouldn't take too much more time. And the parfaits are almost done and two lip butter flavors, and then we start the packing dance.

I want to get some help for packing too, it sometimes takes longer then making the items themselves.

So I will of course do my best to get whoever is helping up to speed, but if the box isn't EXACTLY like I pack then please know its because we are all individuals:)

So my goal is to start shipping early next week, so if you had your heart set for any reason at all to get your box by the day, I am doing my absolute best to catch up but there are so many orders!! and many with multiples, so please let me know so I can see where I am at with your order , email me at: orders@moonalisa.com

Devil's foodcake with Maple Oat Vanilla Nutmeg "Frosting"

yes look at the shiny object.......your eyes are get sleepy...... sleepy...... gaze at the soapy cupcake....mmmmm....... everything is alright......;)

I made a tiny batch of these for the very last Mabon orders that went out and I LOVED making them, made me all giddy!! I finally found a soap frosting recipe that works AND is stable enough to ship safely. So I have now the molds to make the cake part for 30 at a time and so I can make more , faster!! And will be making them all Fall and Winter in various scents and themes.

I also have new pics of some of the Halloween products in their finial stages bur my camera cord is hiding, so soon.

Mabon shipping refunds and crashed site orders

So DH made an excel sheet late last night so I can see who needs a shipping refund from Mabon. And we have Curl back helping right now so I can do them sometime today.
Curl sent all who had an " unfinished" order status in the back of the site from the crash an invoice and your paypal receipt as well. So all of those orders are set. There are only a handful that were not paid yet or in question and I emailed you yesterday. SO if you had an invoice , or you made a payment and didn't get an invoice please let me know asap.

Crash orders and Mabon order update

hey guys, there are about 30 orders that were marked as "unfinished" because of the crash, now they are marked finished??? I don't know if its the cart or what why they are marked differently, but Skye so efficiently did send me a printable list last week and I a working off of it, the bad thing but fixable is I many are paid and completed but I never received a notification from paypal as well as my site and I NEED one from PP to know there is an order to fill. So I now have to go thru each and everyone and search for the payment via PP and then copy and send myself a work order, the point of this post: it is going to take some time , so please please don't worry of if you had an order from the crash night not resolved yet, I will get to them. And make it perfectly clear everywhere when I think I a done with the, and THEN of you think I missed yours I will find and resolve it. So if you paid its all good and even if you have NOT paid yet, I will still honor your order form the crash and then you just need to finish the transaction, so no worries.
Ok still packing Mabon!!! Dh is on the way to drop off about 30 boxes!!

Update: still packing single Mabons, there were about 90% singles, which happens with smaller sales, but they take a little longer because of set ups for each box and samples/gifties, and I ran out of bigger tubs for the DTM body butters samps. So I am using smaller ones now, and I have two going around now, a super thick white butter I scented with Orange Bloosom and Patchouli and Now ~ a cocoa-butter one I scented with a blend I call: Chocolate Lava Cake, has real cocoa ab in it as well as fragrance, now these... are both Drive thru Moo previews, so these are bases and Not my hand made cream, I love them both, but they are not the super thick butter I make. But you will get them wayyyyyyy faster~! so bonus!

And since the cream tubs are now smaller then the first ones, I also made a really earthy All Hallows Eve Ancestoral Bathing Dust now to add to the pot, smells to me just like an old dusty graveyard! I know some of you may say ewe~ But I love that smell!!!!! and I added just a smidgen of homey Hallows Eve goodness so it wouldn't be to over the top earthy graveyard..

as well as the soap I made with the scent that is close to the new scrub scent :butterscotch pudding and spiced walnut molasses glazed devils food cake:)
don't blame me if you cave to cravings- I have been fighting since I made the soap not to make devils food cake filled with butterscotch pudding cupcakes, I think I'm losing!!!

ok packing all night! Back to it, thank goodness netflix just added a BUNCH of cool new retro Horror!! so much fun for me to have it in the background keeping me company:)

stock counts and crashing sites

hey:) sorry about that guys things did not go according to plan, the first day was the crash so there are still orders I need to individually email each and every person and ask if they still want them and or hunt down the payment for them, because the crash did not complete nor generate invoices to me or the customer. Some are paid for , some are not , some still want them , some people do not, etc....
So if any of the stock is left from those orders I will either re-list it or just make the stock - and when all finished have it available for Drive thru Moo, have not decided yet.
The site was zeroed out from the crash stock numbers Sunday, because we are unsure at this time if the site had time to pull the stock or not- so after I contact each and every person, I will put the unfinished orders counts into my spreadsheet and see if there is any left I can re-list.
It is a mess from Sunday, so it is going to be a few days before I can deal with it.

We did load all the numbers for the second day, but not the third day, again simply because I do not know if the site over sold due to the crash and very well may have, so I don't dare list more then I can make in the time I have , nor more then I have oils for the discontinued scents.
And again , I really am sincere when I apoligize for not giving more notice.
It was really out of my hands after the crash and I am ertrnally greatful to the server that went above and beyond to move us to a huge new server and make the sale a go, instead of sending me on my way. And to Skye , she has spent many many hours and time working this all out and going to bat for us with the server so we could have the sale.
But there is a three hour time difference, and I did not feel I could kevetch and pin them down to an exact time when they were doing me this favor , so we just went live . They also have advised me the reason we crash is having everyone queued and ready at the exact same time, F5ing F5F5F5F5,
and this is not the first crash at my Halloween sale, this is the third!
so I am listening to the experts, now that the problem is clear to me. And things will have to be done differently from now on.

So the DNS is pointing in the right direction now but I still can't log onto my cpanle and other such things- but the admin area is back and the site will be disabled soonish for working on by Skye.
So the word from the server is we can go live sometime tonight, exact time is unknown at this time.....

SO I WILL LET YOU KNOW, please please spread the word and DO NOT F5 THE SITE HOPING TO SEE AN UPDATE- COME HERE OR TO my Facebook page, or THE FORUMS FOR UPDATES , we could still crash the site AGAIN if too many people f5 it at he same time. I beg you, thanks ♥

Also: Skye is also invoicing you guys for me all the orders marked "unfinished" in the backend of the site- it seems "unfinished" means they were paid for - but no invoices generated to you or me, ( no worries, they are in the logs)

but marked "QUEUED" means they never got to the check out, those are being .deleted because there isn't enough stock from Sundays counts to check out with anymore anyway, so you will need to start fresh on those.

And if you did not get an invoice again-PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL FOR ONE TODAY AND CHECK PAYPAL to see if its paid, if unpaid, I wont be able to ship it.

So the current official word is: the site is being migrated tomorrow - Tuesday, September 21st- to a much larger server and has been assigned a tech to watch over it :) how awesome is that! so the restock of the inventory will commence sometime after that , most likely sometime Wednesday.

OK official word is we are back, BUT no sale tonight because the site is still not safe from coming back down so please wait and do not rush to the site.

If you must go there, please no refresh button , means NO f5ing !! it overloads the server and what causes them to crash when so many people are doing it all at the same time.

and there are many many incomplete orders in the back end I need to deal with so I will be contacting you.

And some are still "queued" , which means you never made it to the check out with your otems and they are still in your cart, and I will email you if you want it or cancel it because the "queued " orders may not have the stock available anymore.
So we are dealing , and will clean this mess up from last night .
THEN do it again!! ha.. - differently, TBA- there is talk from the server on ideas and the bigcartel site is still a possibility -so I will keep you informed, please let the other boards know for me if that haven't been told already.

Ok , so we can't go back up tonight - so sorry guys - so this is what I need to do. To save confusion and my site, if tonight you had an order in your cart and couldn't complete it, then please do so when we are live again .
But guys, please no mad rushes to the site.
I am only keeping the third of stock that was loaded today there, so you can complete your orders. When it is gone from my site it is gone.The other two thirds of it we for had reserved for the two days we planned will be loaded onto...I'm gonna say it... BIg...Cartel. My site will be for previews and Drive thru Moo until we can figure this all out.

SO AGAIN : only finish up the orders you were doing from moonalisa.com you were in the process of doing. Once we are live again I can see the back logs of orders not completed .

Also except for internationals- I think it would be best not to combine orders on bigcartel, they do not crash ( knock on wood LOUDLY) so that is not an issue , but their backlogs are not as user friendly for me and hard to see if you have a multiple order.

Unless of course you are an international because your postage is outrageous.

So sorry for all of this - again...

and Skye so kindly said she would load it all for me onto BC once we can get the back logs from my site , the dates and times TBA. Looks like this Wednesday so far.

Just a quick note and important note from Skye: The website was written for Firefox so it works best when you use that for your browser. The scroll bar on the right-hand of the book can be dragged down so that the scent options drop-down menu appears. For items with scent options: Once a scent is sold out it will still appear in the option drop-down menu but will no longer be able to be added to the cart. This is an issue with the cart inventory management that I'm still trying to find a work-around for.

and from Lisa- still more items coming... we now have in oober cool 16 oz Black Bottles for the 4 in1's:) and I redesigned the Let them Eat Cake label , the large 4 in1's will also be available for the Strange Sister collections, and red 4 oz tapered bottles for dry sprays.. ok gotta go:)

Halloween hubbub

Hello, many of you have asked whats the hold up on the Halloween collection, it is the same problem as always, TAT TAT TAT. How can I make artisan quality products for so many now and as fast as they are desired??? Don't know:)

But for this Halloween what we have disscused and decided to do is:
have the LE Strange Sisters collection featuring the Art labels of Christane Cegavske, Kerry Kate and myself available for individual items in the collection or choose black boxed sets tied with black and white striped ribbon and cool tags.

There will be a limited amount of these items for each set and these will be sent in time to be received by Halloween, in the states of course, I have no control how long it takes to get to people over seas.
Each sister has two scents each, ...three if time allows available later, and items for this collection will be available in a perfume, soap, soy candle in a glass apothecary container and or a dusting powder.

So these will be for sale this Sunday thru Tuesday or until they sell out, which ever may come first. I will stagger the items over the three days giving people a chance in different time zones to catch a day. For example if I have 90 of one said item I will list 30 on Sunday, 30 on Monday and 30 on Tuesday. If they sell out quickly there will not be anymore available until the next day. This way more have a chance at them, and also keep the numbers down low enough for me to get them to you in time.

There will also be available just a smattering of some Halloween soaps and scrub parfaits. New delectable bath cream mousse layered with scrub. Scents like Pumpkin caramel mousse and pumpkin bread scrub for example.

and as time allows ...pre-made items will be available in the new section of the site called " Drive thru Moo" but I will let you know more about that later. It is a new concept we have been talking about. A way to give you the time consuming artisan made product I can make for you and also have available more often some pre-made high quality bases made for me with my scents, so I can offer them to you at a much faster TAT.

one more thing if you do want some of the really involved items like the Seeing Eye candle, I can make them to order but they will have a long TAT attached to them. So I will have a place to order some candles custom. I also have some gorgeous dried flowers from India I believe, you brew them into the wax and they leave a heavenly spicy aroma and deep orange color, ooooooo:) I so want make them into candles this year, so stay tuned...

The inside poo on Moopoo!!!

Hey guys, I saw on the green some wondering so here is the inside poop on Moopoo:)

Mabon is coming fast , but I am in the middle of finishing up some orders and the very last May etsys that had some things I needed to do and or some corrections from past orders, so I hope to wrap them all up by mid-week.

But I am really worried about time again , so Mabon... and I am adding the strawberry scented stuff to restock with it, because the Strawberry just does not fit into my Halloween plans at all, well if I called it blood of the innocent ( Buffy reference) , but thats a no.. I am listing Candied Strawberries and Liqueur filled dreams: scrub again, powder and 4 in1, and Strawberry dipped in chocolate soap and lip butter in the tube. And yes there has been a slight increase, I had my 4 in1's listed at 10.95 when I found my old catalog from 1996!!! well before the web, the olden days, and it was 10.95 then, I totally forgot I them on sale back in 2007 and never noticed I didn't change it back, and Skye who has been helping me load all the stuff onto the site, and great job BTW!!!! I just don't have the time, well she noticed the prices were too low before I even had a chance to tell her about the catalog. So with the price of the bottles, labels- I use polyester to keep them water proof and the perfume in them and the gel ingredients themselves, it is time to raise them just a tad. I hope to offer again in the near future the 16 oz, size and these will be at a price break of course.

So besides the ton of components to make the Strawberry scent, I also have a surplus of various apple oils. I have been experimenting for a long while with a soap and candle carmel outer shell with an inner spiced apple and a candied apple shell with an inner green apple. But no candles for this smaller sale yet, soon I hope because of time. And perhaps a Mabon apple scent. And I have a surplus of Bongo Poppy Cake made up too!!

And this small sale will be on my site: www.moonalisa.com , this week perhaps -Tuesday or Wednesday not sure or even Thursday depends on where I am at with things, and it is going to be really tiny.

Limiting it will ensure it shipping on time, last year we listed and made and shipped all of Mabon listings within five days and I am listing even less then that this time so not a problem as far as TAT on Mabon.

And the rest of the " Let them Eat Cake" collection I am rolling it over into Halloween listings, I have ideas on how to change Marie's dress to a cute little striped number and a masquerade mask . I was also reminded that if I don't roll over what I planned for the tiny Let them eat cake into Halloween , I will never make it in time, and she is right. I still don't know if I will be able to make it all in time, so please keep that in mind when you order, but Mabon for sure I can handle by the deadline.

Expect Halloween to be on sale much sooner then you thought, but I will let you know still.

So again: this first small Mabon sale ( Mabon is the Autumnal Equinox) this week

and Halloween to follow and they will not be combined for shipping- that is the Mabon sale items with Halloween- this way I do not have to keep track of who ordered Mabon, just ship it as soon as its done , which I am aiming for the beginning of September or sooner.

So a little update - still chugging along, I think I can, I think I can.....

We had a minor little hiccup with the Midnight Margarita Scrubs and why
still no orders have been shipped with it, but should be able to today (knocks on wood) .

It seems I am a stubborn sort and even though I had
that awful time last year with the Midnight Margarita bath bombs I felt I could pull off scrub without a hitch, well.... it is a problem with acidic ( Lime and Lemon eo's) oils reacting with my scrub recipe ... and we had to un-jar-uhg- all the MM scrubs, put it in large tubs and let them sit and wait out the reaction. It seems acidic oils and certain sodium's cause the scrub to react like a sixth grade volcano experiment, but much more subtle. They just kept expanding and expanding, like the never ending scrub. I didn't notice until I took them out of the fridge when I was ready to start shipping them, and oil had seeped out, so I opened one to see what the trouble was and OMG, sooo glad the jars did not explode!!!

So we immediately un-jared the whole lot. I have been sweating it out, waiting for them to be done doing what they will, Mooman all the while doing his best Scottie imitation from Star Trek: "but captain, you can't change the law of physics!". it seems my glares have NO effect on his comedian antics:) So , I am re-jarring them this morning since they seem to be behaving now, and will send all the boxes I have waiting for them on the their way......talk to you all soon:)

Hey everyone, still plugging along, but didn't get as much done this past weekend as I had hoped. I worked everyday but we had a sick minimoo on our hands, he has a sinus infection and a molar coming in which made him really sick, cranky and not sleeping through the night ( not like he really does anyway) ALL weekend, Friday, Sat, Sun and Monday, its been a longggggggg weekend.

And because of the holiday, no doctor appointments yesterday, but we got an appointment this morning, and he is back on antibiotics and already feeling a little better.

I have all 25 singles in various stages of completion so it won't be much longer, then the multiples right behind.
I anticipate ( and again, knocking on wood not to jinx myself as I always do) being on the multiples this week.

"Solstice" is derived from two Latin words: "sol" meaning sun, and "sistere," to cause to stand still. This is because, as the summer solstice approaches, the noonday sun rises higher and higher in the sky on each successive day. On the day of the solstice, it rises an imperceptible amount, compared to the day before. In this sense, it "stands still."

The mosaic table top is the one I made for our Summer Solstice celebration the first year we moved to this charming town!:) It is too dangerous now with minimoo ( the yellow glass is rough and protruding) so we took off the top and we are hanging it on a garden wall for now instead.

Shipping Invoices and estimations

Hey guys,
I am and have been invoicing late at night the shipping invoices or giving refunds for them for early Aprils listings, please, if you think I am wrong for the amount please don't hesitate to let me know, no worries at all.
There were only about 15 orders that I charged shipping for and about 400 I didn't , so there are a LOT of them to get through, and the Dh did a new program that finds exactly what you paid verses what I paid for shipping, but of course it can not account for previous orders that need adjusting, or if I invoiced you in one big invoice for all your etsy transactions and already charged you shipping, so please just let me know and I will correct it.

And I am still trying to figure out how much longer before we start shipping the May orders, I think in about another ten days is my best estimation, so sorry for the delay, there have been so many obstacles to overcome this past round.

And perfume replacements I am still in the process of doing, a total of about 52 bottles were the casualties:(, not including the unsold bottles still here around 40, and the ones I pulled before they left here about 30, total: 122 !!! ouch!

But we do seem to have our site back, but still have cart issues, so it will take a while to work this out still, but we are hopeful:)

Good news is the labels for the scrubs for May's listings for the" Let them Eat Cake" collection are really cool!!!! and done with the help of the wonderful graphic artist Narry!! Roller Ball update

Hey everyone, roll-on tops came late afternoon yesterday, they didn't send the bottles, which made me go "ballistic" -har! , but I have enough glass bottoms and they fit- so no worries.
I am testing them now , wouldn't want a repeat disaster, no sir!!!
and.... I am awaiting pipettes so you can easily transfer your perfume to the new roll-on bottles, and you will also get new labels, kind of like your very own mini perfume set:)

If you need a total replacement then of course you will receive a whole new bottle assembled like the one before but with a "working" roller ball.
And the pretty bottles came in as well, and I love them, although they are in three parts, which surprised me, and they hold slightly less then the old bottles did, which also surprised me. So this is why you have been, and will be receiving a side vial of the oil left over from the old size bottles that wouldn't fit.
In the future listings of these pretty bottles I will adjust the price to reflect less oil.

SO- if you did not already email me at: orders@moonalisa.com , please do so now, some people mentioned it on forums but it would be a great help to me to have you all in one place so I can keep track who needs what replaced, thanks guys!!

and On the May orders listings I am behind, behind behind, Dh is home all week to help me, so I will update when I get a better idea how behind we are, we will move like the wind this week..... or so I hope:)

update on the roller ball disaster

We had to pull 32 bottles from my left over decanted stock!!! So pissed!!
None were disintegrated yet, but probably because they are decanted then stored standing up so no oil really hit them yet, but any that looked suspicious the tops are removed and awaiting new bottles. And for the orders that are left from April to ship: The ones I had already packed with perfumes in them, I went ahead and opened them back up today to check them all, but please if you got a roller ball check it again anyway to make sure, perhaps it didn't happen yet.And many of you got strange and or unusual bottles. I did a reconnaissance mission today:) I dug deep into the workshop and found some old boxes of bottles I used to use and poured the perfumes into them, some are a bit wacky- some hold more then the roller ball perfume held, so if I could make up the space with more perfume I did, if I didn't it means I didn't have enough to. But you were not short changed on any amount , you can count in that, some just are deceiving in size and look like a lot less then the roller ball bottles, some are full to the top, some were the exact same capacity, or the bottle may look small but they are not. I was meticulous in pouring your exact bottle into the new one and adding a little more to make up for the smidgen lost in the sides of the old bottle. So I need to make a list of who needs an empty bottle, I was so rushed to do this and get them sent today I don't know if I forgot anyone or perhaps you like the alternative bottle, some are really pretty:) and a few of you left are almost all perfume, so I will be emailing you to ask your preference. SO if you are [b]still[/b] waiting to receive your box and you want a replacement glass bottle or perfume, please email me and I will send them to you .and of course if you [b]already[/b] got your box and you need a bottle or an entirely new perfume also email me, all at :

its the plastic roll apprentice, the manufactuer is sending me a new batch and i can tell he knew exactly what I meant without me even finishing my sentence, so if your top looks like it is dissolving I would recommend throwing it away and I will replace it.

If it looks iffy and not dissolved let me know too and I can replace just the bottle, or if has dissolved at all I will replace the perfume entirely. This is going to take time to hash out so please be patient with me, thanks guys! so far oils with a problem roller:
Black Mamba, and I have no ingredients to make more at this time, so if you want to save the precious, hold onto the bottle firmly and gently rock the roller back and forth and pull gentle, maybe use a tissue to hold the roller, and replace with the black cap , keeping it upright until you receive a new empty glass bottle or I can make more, but one of the components is being reformulated so it may be a long while.

roll tops and nightmares

Hey guys, please check all you April order perfumes, I keep getting reports of roller balls missing, I have no idea what happened!!! I would think I would see they were missing, so I am worried they have dissolved??? Or I really need more sleep!!!
It is a new supplier, and I thought they would be better since they are twice as fast at shipping,
but now I am regretting the change. So please check and let me know if you see any problems with your roller tops. It will be a lot less expensive for me to replace your bottles then the whole perfume , so if there is no damage I would rather do that , if there is damage, then of course I will replace the perfume. SORRY ABOUT THIS!!

ETA: Just got off the phone with the manufacture, and he said the rollers were different and a thinner grade of plastic and he is sending me a new gross of bottles and tops with the thicker tops today!
So I can send free bottles to anyone who has a problem. The only problem thing is I decanted into some of the old stock of bottles I still had, which are fine, but have no idea how many of the new bottles or which perfumes I used from the new faulty stock,
so just email me at : orders@moonalisa.com if there is any problem with your perfume roll on tops from APRIL etsy listings.

Hey all you who are still waiting, I ran short of stock on a few things, I have no idea why this always happens, I don't know if its my counting or when the carts get cart lifted they end up selling more then I have.
The only good thing about it is the mooman was sooooo smug about taking over the numbers this time, and he did a damn good job I must say because I am only short on a very few things not the huge amount as usual, but it still happened, so HA!! I say to the smug man.
So if you have an order that has Monoi butter in it, I ran short, I am making more today and then that will be the last of the April orders. The rest of you its just a little thing here or there that went missing and I will be emailing you or just remake them today if I can.

White Chocolate looks like a lovely brown

Hey everyone,
I just wanted to pop in here and let you guys know the White Chocolate combo scrub, so frustrating, the soap didn't change color nor did the cream, but the scrubs, she has changed!!!
They are perfectly fine and fresh and smell delicious, but White they are not. It is the oxidation happening to the oils and nothing wrong, it sucks though, I keep trying to find oils that don't change colors, and so far have not been very successful at it. I suppose its because I make a lot of scents with vanilla in them.
Let me know if the color is not acceptable for you, and we will work something else out.
But please let me know before I ship it. I will try to email each person as I get to each order right before they are shipped out.

ahh! one more thing, I made a mistake when I listed the Monoi vanilla coconut cream in amber jars, the case I had was cobalt not amber, I hope that is ok with everyone. Sorry for my mistake.
It does have a different label then the Monoi floral one, and it will be in the amber jars in the future, the idea being, the floral one in cobalt jars , and the vanilla coconut one in amber.

The last of the Tassomancy Salts ( the ancient art of of tea reading, my Grandmother on my Father's side was a tea reader in the nineteen twenties) from Last Halloween sale 09, but no worries, I will make new ones this Halloween. The packaging took a long time. I made each collage for the tea reading cards double sided and by hand, then hand laminated them, gave them a rivet, and tied them to the glass jars. Corks are secured with colored beeswax. The Tassomancy salts were a fun idea I had to tea read in your bath water. The sea salts were infused with various smoked teas for months , then blended with essential oils and fragrance before bottling.

Hey everyone, I have been getting reports that our "new" cap liners may be reacting to the oils in your 4in1's, it will not effect the quality of the 4in1, but please remove the liners immediately if you have not done so already. ( they should be on top of the bottle opening or underneath the cap. )
They are only there to keep them from leaking in your box while in transit. We purchased the new caps and liners to replace the tacky looking and time consuming task of saran wrapping all the bottle tops before screwing the lids on the bottles, but I guess for now that is the better solution.

Ramblings, soap boxes and TAT

what are with the Goddess faces? < Solid chocolate face I made to top my dark chocolate torte from this past Easter family potluck (looks kind of Ostera like ? ;)

I am posting here as well as ETSY in case you don't want to~yawn~ scroll down and read all the older stuff on ESTY:)

Oh- and you may have noticed the new sections here, and see Limited Edition Collections and ask yourself, huh? I thought Moona was only doing those on the other sites??? Well we are but, while I am in the process of making things , I will list just a few here to give a little taste first.:)

TAT and multiple orders: I ship the single orders first, then I will combine ETSY only orders together, but once your package has started to be processed I can't add after that. and I am going to way over estimate my ESTY TAT- 4-6 weeks business days only( I way over estimated remember ;))

And why is my TAT always so long you ask, well it is because we make so much, about 90%, of our products from scratch, this includes ALL of our incense and candles which are all made by me, " moona" by my own two hands. We do NOT purchase bases and purchase fragrance and just pour it in a jar and call it "handmade", and this why we have a longer TAT. ( turn around time) . So many in this business call their wares "handmade" when they are not. If ever you are in doubt, ask them to take out an ingredient for you ( of course you may have to purchase the whole batch if they are making it from scratch , as in my case if you request alternative ingredients:)), and see their response. And my scents are about 95% propriety recipes as well, and not a single purchased fragrance and just poured in. I have in the neighborhood of 5000 ( no kidding) natural components and fragrances combined to make and create scents from. And why you may find them unique. If I do run across a scent that is soooo good, and I don't want or need to do anything to it ( which is really, really rare) , then I tell you. And always have. Not saying anything against anyone who uses bases and purchased scents, I just wish more , especially on ETSY would be honest about it. It is confusing to the consumer as well as unfair to the businesses who are honest about it ( why not say you use bases and why your tat is so bloody fast !!), And not fair to the artisans who truly hand-make their items. It also creates even more emails for me to respond to why I am taking so long to finish orders. I can not compete with a company who uses mostly pre-made items, not with their TAT or their cheaper prices, I just can't. And as fast as this industry is growing I feel they are pushing out the true artisan maker more and more. So having to make all the scents , and all the products from scratch, and all the labeling and packaging, add up to a longer TAT. Ok, I will jump off my soap box now:)

Ok- blog only now- and after all my yammering about TAT- I think we can START the shipping at the end of the week or sooner!!! Thats is because I did list one of my very few bases, Potion Lotions, and the leftover Winter collection is done of course, and why its "leftover" , and because I only listed two kinds of scrubs , very few soaps choices which are done as well. Now off to the daunting task of making all those creams:) I like to make them as close to the end as possible to give them to you as fresh as I can. Because goodness knows if I made them in the beginning they would be sitting here waiting to be shipped for ~~~~~ well lets not go there.

I'm back to my normal work hours tomorrow!!! Dh is finally home!!! And daycare starts again Monday , Yea!!!! It has been a longgggg week, no day care and an unpredictable work schedule for the DH with really long hours all week long!!!
So I will get caught up on everything shortly, last boxes from Winter should be out by Monday morn( some of these very last ones had some complexity to them or missing items from stock counts, and I still have yet to hear from one of my international orders on your preferred shipping, so if you are an international wondering what the heck is up, please email me!!! :)) ,
and then onto answering pms , convos and emails, invoicing for moneys owed from the WINTER collection, not the ETSY latest, that you can still add to those until about mid-week and pay for them all at once, then I will start the shipping process.

Only thing left to list will be some body powders and salts and a couple of more creams and perhaps some bath creams. I just realized how late it is, wow, I need to get to bed!!! I am soooooo close to being completely done with all pending orders I can taste it!!! That took way to long again- sorry about that everyone.

The handful of orders left on the worktable are packed with the exception of a thing here, or a detail there that still needs that last finishing touch, and then off on their merry way:)

So I predict I should be done about midday, then my ETSY shop will have new listings to peruse!!! As well as some of the leftovers from the Winter collection. But remember , I am trying short controlled bursts, rather then chaos causing massive floods. And I will just keep re-listing, but give me a few days to get into the flow of this new way of doing things. My hope is it will be less stressful and more fun for us both. At long last ....
Monoi Coconut Milk Bath
Melted coconut scented Monoi butter, coconut powdered milk which I WANT TO EAT BY THE SPOONFUL. I also put in it Epsom salts, Sonoma Spa fine salts, Milk Powder, Ginseng Root Powder, Bamboo Powder , GF oatmeal, Honey Powder and a smidgen of scent to match and support the Monoi coconut aroma.
And since the oatmeal is gluten free, I had to grind it myself ( because they don't sell gluten free oatmeal for making bath products), so it is ultra fine ( I ground it with two different machines), but not being a machine myself, and it did leave the tiniest of grain behind on the bottom of my bathing tub which rinsed out effortlessly, and I couldn't feel it at all while I was in the water.

Also the sample size bag does give off a lot of aroma on cold sniff ,but just a soft natural coconut smell in the tub. But the silky feel of my skin after the bath, and the relaxation from it was exactly what I was after, so Enjoy!
And just as soon as all these orders are out, small batches of moopoo will be available for your purchasing pleasure on ETSY, listed over and over for a while so I can catch up for the next big LE collection release:) Thank you all<3

Still on singles!!

Hey guys- sorry for the confusion, I didn't see the extra Etsy tiny order for a sweet woman's order I packed last night ( about midnight , I must have been a little sleepy) until after I had already packed the first order and printed a flat rate shipping label , so I couldn't see charging her shipping again for one little soy tin and perfume. Sorry for the confusion, but with so many orders sometimes one slips by.
And I can see the light at the end of the tunnel for the singles, so soon soon!! And I do have a friend coming over towards the end of the week to help me pack the multiples so hopefully it will go even quicker then usual.
Each sale I seem to get more and more single orders, and more and more international ones, which of course makes me happy, but it has changed the pace for getting the singles out. They take way longer then the multiple's do now, instead of the other way around like in the past.

So sorry for the further delay, after the hellish weekend with minimoo, I then fell with a virus type of problem they thought was strep throat, gave me another antibiotic, the fourth in the past few months and I had such a severe reaction this weekend we ended up at the ER again. They diagnosed me with something so strange I never heard of it before but its a hyper sensitivity to antibiotics called serum sickness.
So I have a new epipen and a new allergist I am seeing soon. They had me stop the antibiotics altogether, and since I have stopped , the illness has cleared my system and I can't tell you how much better I feel.
Thank you all for bearing with me through all this sickness, I feel terrible you have had to endure all of this just to get your products, but now that we know the cure may be the cause for a lot of my illnesses lately , my hope is we are all on the road to recovery now and Back to work!!!'
So shipping madness is taking place momentarily.

Little update

Hi everyone, just a little update. I had a hellish last four days , but things are back on track now. ( knocks on wood).
Minimoo suddenly became very ill, 104 temp and vomiting so we ended up in the ER on Saturday, ALL day, and then we had the surgery he desperately needed for his tubes to be placed in his ears yesterday ( Monday).
He is doing amazingly well. Its like night and day really. He was so sick and listless this past weekend, it scared the daylights out of me, and last night he was his normally little hooligan self, screaming and yelling, grinning and getting into EVERYTHING- thank the heavens:)
And to add to the stress of it all, ironically my husband was away on a gig, just home late at night, so it was very very difficult to say the least , and I had to put all moona on temporary hold.
But I am back to the swing of it today. I still think we can finish up the single only orders and onto the multiples by the weekend still.
And to clarify , SINGLES: thats an order either from ETSY or the Big-cartel site that has NO other orders , then on to the multiples,
Multiples: which are orders with an etsy AND or a BC order , or multiple BC orders , or multiple etsy orders. ( make sense, no? I hope so:))
So from now on: I will list on ETSY again soon, but please keep in mind, any listings sold from now on from the ETSY shop will not be combined with any other pending orders. ( they can be combined with themselves, ie: multiple etsy orders) They will go out immediately after the Winter moopoo sale is finished shipping. And from now on ship continuously while collections are being made and shipped etc.
This is to save TAT and to keep as many people possible in moopoo. And I am looking at a way to have the ETSY orders shipping constantly and packed by someone else, other then myself, so I can be on the collections and product making intensely.

Update and ETSY news

Hello everyone:)
I am still working on the Winter Collection and combining with the Halloween leftovers. I am still shipping the singles and hope to be on the multiples by the end of next week.

So I wanted to let you know what is going on with my ETSY shop.
My goal for the ETSY shop is to start to have perfumes and staples listed on a regular basis . Not a ton of moopoo, just enough for those who are either out of something, hankering for an item, wanna try it out for the first time, or missed out on one of the seasonal collection site sales.

After this past Winter collection round one is finished shipping , I will no longer be combining ETSY orders with orders made from my other sites. This is in hope to serve you all better and faster. I will of course refund any shipping overages charged, please see my new shop policies on ETSY for more information.

BUT- I will still have my seasonal collections and limited editions on the big-cartel for now. And soon we hope to have our server problems all sorted out ( its really because of me at this point not having the time to test the new server yet)
and then we will move into the new site permanently ( www.moonalisa.com site)
But~ still keep the ETSY store as I explained above. So I hope that all made sense???
I do have just a few things listed right now and will post more after this weekend when I have had a chance to ship a lot more orders.
I will be and have listed Trance, Enchanted and Lavender Fields on ETSY, but I will also list them when the next collection is released. Listing a "few" of the same things on ETSY is to help ease the flood, well I hope so anyway. Ebb and flow remember, ebb and flow:)
Also being listed on ETSY soon, unscented products for those with allergies or chronic headaches ( like me) , I love a scented bath , but sometimes I just want the benefit but not the scent and make them for myself all the time. Being pregnant also really opened my eyes on how little natural unscented products are out there on the market. So look forward to: unscented 4 in1's, lotions, cocoa-butter body butter ( cocoa-butter's natural scent will still be present) , mineral salt baths , bath bomb bags, soy candles and lip butter all will be listed on ETSY.
This will also be a great venue for my whim items, for instance , sometimes I have only a little of a scent I made and would like to have the creative freedom to make just a few items from it , instead of loads and loads of product.
Or specialty items I can't make tons of , for example I have these gorgeous gift boxes I am dying to fill with beautiful things. or sometimes I happen upon some very limited vessels.
And I must say it is really odd to me to have listings on ETSY and have them still there.... it is cool, especially because my little ETSY widget is always so empty when things sell out so fast, but still very odd:)

By now you must have all seen that the recent shipping has POPPED! Hey its a Winter collection and its still Winter so progress!!! I don't know how long it is going to take to finish all the shipping but as usual I will do my best. We did lose a week being ill:( That was a whopper of a virus which turned into respiratory infections for all three of us and required antibiotics, but we are all 100% now so yea!
The first of the newsletters is going out in about a week. And new listings are right around the corner. I will post here some of the items to wet your appetite before I list so no worries.
The magic box feature to the right is a random photo displayer , it goes by whatever word you put in, cool aye? These are not my pics, but I am working on that. I think it would be a wonderful media tool if I could control it, so we shall see.....

We were just reminiscing tonight of my days of a personal chef,mmmm
Vanilla bean infused crème fraiche, topping off a sticky rum soaked gingerbread cake...

sugared violets adorning a ChambordÂ® raspberry liqueur soaked butter sponge cake...

and since we just picked seven , yes seven and still counting, grocery bags full of navel oranges from our tree this week, we remembered how I used to caramelize oranges slices!
An awfully laborious task, and used to adorn my Death by Chocolate cakes with them.
Triple layer chocolate cakes with chocolate ganache between the layers( my ganache had Turkish expresso coffee and Kahlua in it)... mmmm... I was known as the boozy chef- go figure!

And I can not watch the kind of silly, but oh so pretty movie directed by our own Sofia Coppola, without having an unbelievable desire to bake!!!!

And so has added to the inspiration. I came up with a bunch of these new recipies while I was pregnant and wrote them down, and one of them I made for our beloved forum member : Shiny for her birthday (Shiny has been an unbelievable gem in our lives. She knows just the timing when my energy is down from moopoo, and sends these incredible chocolate gift boxes of heaven from Holland!!!!) So I made her the Lavender Chocolate cake soap , filled with "Lavender Paradise" scrub, and topped with cocoa butter bath melts shaped as leaves and roses. Well, we have been working on the molds to make this happen in a much more practical way so I can offer them to many. So this collection that I speak of will have some of these creations, as well as some straight up scrub and bath cream concoctions for your decadent bathing pleasure.
After all.... I believe us woman of this modern age work so bloody hard!!!! , we deserve a chillaxin bathing experience.
Oh and bonus, a lot of the TAT is also swallowed up by the endless task of creating new looks and labels. Well... I found a gold mine on ETSY. And of course cleared it with the artist first. I found this little treasure named: Narry,

This Weekend

Hello, just a little update. We are not behind yet, but the whole family has come down with a virus so I am taking it easy this weekend instead of the marathon packing I was hoping to do.
Not all the products are finished yet anyway, so I need to finish up first, but I am very , very close. We have slowed down a bit this week, due to feeling under this miserable wet weather we have been having. Baby came down with it first and we saw his pediatrician and its a virus , so we must all wait it out. Fever , chills and headaches with a mild head cold.
So if I feel better by Monday I will start to ship the smaller singles. Otherwise , back to full swing on Tuesday, I say Tuesday rather then Monday because of the holiday, our daycare takes all holidays off.
I will of course combine all multiples and refund any extra shipping fees, but please remember the ETSY restock had no shipping fees charged. I had to invoice for those fees if your order was an ETSY only - all of those, but a few internationals I am still waiting hear on , have been shipped early this past week.
So I apologize for having to take a few days off , but I have a strict policy of not making moopoo when ill.:)
Oh yes and I hope you all have a wonderful Valentines Day! We don't really celebrate it with anything more then a homemade gluten free pancake breakfast.

So the ETSY only orders are more then half way shipped already and many of you will be receiving your packages today. The rest of the Halloween restock, ETSY ONLY orders should be out by todays end.
We are moving right along with the smallish Winter Collection of MooPoo round #1. I should be able to start shipping them out by this weekend, YEA!!

New samples going out starting today are:
My new deeply ambered scent ( and it is a completely different Amber then before) with a slight use of subtle spices, incense and vanilla bourbon called: " Trance" will be making its debut in some boxes,
as well as my new " Field of Dreams " scent, the same amber as "Trance" plus another amber blended with Lavender Kashmir, Lavender Absolute and Lavender (Lavendula Angustifolia Moldova), and wow, on the dry down I am in LOVE <3 - these are all naturals so remember they do not have the staying power as most synthetics do, but they are no less lovely.
One way to make an all natural have longer staying power without the use of animal derived components is to use heavier resinous bases like Labdanum and Vanilla and I do , but I don't want them all to smell the same, or all be so heavy , so although I LOVE LOVE these two they don't last as long as some of my other naturals like the Egyptian Royal Jelly Oil - Sekhmet, which is a really deep, heavy and smoky scent.

And in the same family of scent , but entirely different and with kind of a unisex flair :
Inspired Mr. Fancy Pants himself, one of my favorite artists and the subject of many wistful fantasies gazing at his numerous self-portraits, Mr. ALBRECHT DURER- hmm sigh...:) - called "Root" , but I am open to suggestions for the name, mooman insists on the name root, but I am still on the fence:)

Chasmere woods which is, Cedarwood, Amber, Musk and Vanilla . Blended with a rustic combination of dry woods, Amber, Myrrh, bold Parisian Lavender, Tonka bean, Angelica Root, and a splash of Egyptian Musk. This scent does contains some synthetics.
They are circulating in forms of perfume, bath salts and soaps.

and pleeze don't kill me, but I want to postpone the ETSY sale just a little longer, you know how when you just keep going, and going, and going, then you stop, well thats me today- a big ole slug,
and I still have so many refunds for shipping to finish and invoices for product to send.

Thank you all so much!!! ALL the Halloween , perfume, and the fix its are either all ready completely done and in the postal drop bag for tomorrow, or they are on the work table taped and just awaiting a shipping label. Pa*pal- keeps giving me an error and saying to try again later- so I am going to call it a night and do the rest of the shipping labels in the morn. WOW-THIS COLLECTION KICKED MY ARESE! Even with help!!!

So lets just move on and hope the way I am doing the Winter collections work in a more timely and less exhausting fashion for all.

Etsy left over sale will be on Monday- there are the playoffs here in the states this Sunday, so I will be with my little guy and big guy. So Monday will be better, not sure what time yet I will let you know. And there isn't a lot left , bath bomb bags are and Dracae BB's and other various stuffs.

Hey guys, I am holding off the etsy left over sale another day, just don't want to list anything that might come popping up I need.
I am not done yet , but I am so so bloody close I can taste it!!! Just a couple things went awol- most likely my brain spasms at work:) like two -just two Chocolate Almond Coconut lip butters, one freaking blood and chocolate cupcake, and a bunch of little things like that , but they added up at the very end to be enough that I will have to finish up tomorrow. I don't want you guys to have been waiting this bloody long and not get what you ordered. I already had to do that for a few of the PP pillars = and thank you so much guys for switching or waiting on those. So tomorrow , I really really think its going to be tomorrow !!! for the popping of the champagne and the clock rewinding for the next sale!!

Hey guys, I am on the last of the Halloween orders but there are still some that are either so HUGE or have some thing extra I need to do to them , they are taking a lot of time to pack still, and a couple of little things were missing in my inventory and some bath bomb bags, so I had to remake them yesterday. And my internet connection is acting up , we called Vonage five bloody times yesterday and kept getting cut off because that is also our phone connection, they are working on it, so instead of sitting here, blowing a gasket everytime I try to log into paypal or Endica to generate your shipping labels , I am going to do them all at once today, so maybe it will go faster, so please bare with me, we are so close to wrapping up the HALLOWEEN AND PERFUME SALE orders today, soo close.

I read most of your comments on the boards , can I just say awe... thank you all!!! and when you guys are this happy, I sleep well.
So tonight I am going to bed before 4:00 am:) I am sooooo close to being done with the last of the Halloween orders and the perfume orders.
Should all be a faint memory by this Friday, then... the TAT clock rewinds- 3-4 weeks for tonights sale from shipping the last Halloween box.
But - I will also be re-listing some things in a couple of weeks or so , just a few- to keep it flowing.

Its almost time.......

So where am I in the orders?? I can see the finish line!!!! hooray!, I thought this day would never come. I always think that, but this one was a really weird collection, I so thought I had it all together quickly, but I forgot about so many things and ALL the details, which is what got me as far as time. I do declare the Halloween collections have the most detail. ANd will make a note of that for the future. And with moms health news and surgery my mind went qabluee (sp)

So I have things in motion and this is a tiny heads up for a tiny collection to start, only about seven items to choose from in various scents. AND ITS tiny because I MUST change things or I will just be shipping out your winter goodies in April, and no one wants that, least of all me!!!
So.. to save time and to NOT crash my site again, until we can resolve that issue I putting the small and I do mean small collection up on the Big Cartel site- link here:

and I must put them up right behind these shipping out or I will just be in the same boat as far as time again I am afraid.

But the TAT on the Big cartel is 3-4 weeks and I say up to four to give me a little breathing room, and I will list more stuff in a couple of weeks , some of the same I do tomorrow, and some different, the idea is to NOT create a mad panic anymore and to get more of an ebb and flow type of atmosphere, where you are happy, and I am happy, and rested, and able to do my very best and recharge my creativity at all times:).

With the collections being So big last year, and trying to accommodate everyone I could, I just created a HUGE TAT and didn't make anyone happy about that. So until I can get control back I am doing many small releases, and re-listing over and over for now.

Ok- I hope that made sense, and makes many happy, and I know some of you won't be able to order right away, and I wish I could accommodate you all at once but I can't , but please know I am doing this so eventually you can ALL have your cake and eat too so to speak. More moopoo -more often, for EVERYONE!!!!!

Soaps:
First two soaps are guest soaps that are just like the sample, a pretty bee soap design, the others are loaf soaps cut into my regular bars.
The Rose Sywch of Virtu- inspiration of course the Virgin Mother, and my absolutely fav cd I have for this time of year ,
A ROSE OF SWYCH VIRTU: REVERENCE FROM THE RENAISSANCE

Beeswax hued top layer in four different ambers and bottom layer creamy colored with Frankincense, Pinon Pitch, Copal and a touch of the sacred Damascus Rose. Top dusted with golden mica.

Mother's Milk- Top layer, a clearish honey color with nourishing Shea butter, ground walnut shells ( the same I use for the Mabon soaps),bottom layer brownish and all sweetened with real honey and scented with Almond nectar and oats.
Dusted with gold and cappuccino colored mica

Loaf Soap:
WINTER PORRIDGE , hot steaming oats with cream, butter and saffron infused honey- but the soap also has a spiced brown sugar ripple and made with real brown sugar, and also real honey and gluten free oats in it.

and back from the past:
Snuggler - dark shimmering brown mica and half natural peppermint green, rich dark hot cocoa and peppermint schnapps,
Rigio Jansci Gypsy Chocolate Cake- Rich dark chocolate cake , so much cocoa butter in this one it blooms! and

Scrubs:
Indigo Ice is BACK!-Woodsy Cedar , blends with warm Tonka Bean , Patchouli , Heliotrope ,Coriander, and a garnish of cool citrus of Bergamot, Red Mandarin, Star Anise, and Fresh Ginger.
Winter Porridge: Steaming winter oats, smothered with melted butter, thick cream, and topped off with a saffron infused wild honey and dusted with ground walnut shells.
I tried a new technique, and I really like it, so the porridge is filling the tub then I pipe in the saffron honey into the middle , tis cool!!
Cocoagasam: DELICIOUS , nutty , hot cocoa and pastry surrounds a decadent shot of chocolate ganache in the middle. To die for!!!
Enchanted : If you like Spellbound woods you will like this! Its the same fragrance but I beefed it up with four more Amber's, two different Vanillas , including Vanilla Absolute and some additional otherworldly notes:) Making it richer and longer lasting with much more depth.
Chai Tea ( fragrance meet essential oils- result, a realistic Chai scent, the same as I make for the Art House Scrub!)

Betty Forever! In body powder and a roll on oil! Oil comes in cute polka dot fishnet little bag.

BUT-I have only a few singles left on the work table , just waiting for the free gifts.
I am going to work until dark then kick back and celebrate the new year ( again- after Samhain;) Right now, ( besides writing on my blog:))

I am finishing up wrapping the new free gift soaps for the boxes, then onto the multiples- yippee!!!! Hallelujah!!! Hallelujah!! Hal-leahhhh- lu-jah!!!!
And preview and much, much smaller amounts released at a time , but listed over and over ...coming very soon!!!!!

The new gift soaps ( and also available for purchase soon) are:

WINTER PORRIDGE , hot steaming oats with cream, butter and saffron infused honey- but the soap also has a spiced brown sugar ripple and made with real brown sugar, and also real honey and gluten free oats in it. I really like how they came out:) so ENJOY!

Hey everybody! Picture is an old one of mine of my many large red glass ornaments from India, never know what to do with them really????
All but about twelve singles are out , and I say about because with the perfume sales the numbers keep morphing.
And only 49 multiples!!!! I thought some were singles and they were multiples, and visa versa.

And I am finishing up a few more this morning then off for a couple of days then back to work.

So it seems I can not do the BAFFLED and receive the money via P*yp*l, and yes they are now "watching" my blog for any wrong doing., and I may not use those two words or my account will result in permanent closure.
So this morning I refunded all of you sweet souls who donated- thank you so much! But don't lose heart, the beautiful woman of one of the forums I am on, are helping me work on a way to do a private auction of goods. And then its no bodies business but our own. especially if we only take checks and money orders.
And some lovelies are already stepping up with donating their own hand made gorgeous items:)
So stay tuned, and from now on I think we should keep this on the private boards and emails, so we won't be "turned in" again. Can I roll my eyes hard enough?
And FYI- I called P*yP*l like five times to talk to agents to help me set up the whole site, and have it all on the up, and why it took so long to get it ready. And do you think at least ONE of them knew it was against their policy????? Perhaps P*YP*l should look into doing some better training of their staff so this whole debacle could have been avoided.

And to> YOU< I am talking to whatever evil troll turned us in, and I do know this Baffle was turned into P*yp*l because of the evidence I have, and a good idea what forum you are from . You didn't stop anything, you may have in-fact generated even more support for Nicole by your evil acts. So Merry Christmas to you, I hope you don't choke on your coal!

as for Moona orders, I am concentrating the next four or five days to getting all these out, or as many as I can, thank you all again, I value and appreciate you all.

OK- so I have been informed by ******, I can not only NOT hold a raffle connected with a ****** account, I also have to remove all mention of P*yp*l and raffle from my blog before they will reinstate my account. How they even know about my blog, I am BAFFLED! We are working on a resolution, and when I say we , I mean the wonderful woman from the forums- so stay tuned!

Well, I guess I am slow as molasses, I really am working day and night to get these all out!
And I also guess denial would be a good word for what I do when I estimate how long it takes to ship my moopoo, yep, that would be the word, sorry about that guys. I swear it takes longer to pack and ship then to make everything. And the numbers are off, again on some stock counts. So yesterday I had to scramble and remake some stuff. And today as well, but I am so close to being in the teens for the singles, so multiples are right around the corner.
And the baffled , :)??? We are all set with the web site set up and separate bank account . All I am still waiting for is the verification from the new ****** account. I had signed up for the wrong type of account before, whoops, so it should be any day now. I will post the link to the baffled site as soon as I get the verification.

In honor of the season and Mothers are obviously on my mind, two scent samples so far:

The Rose Sywch of Virtu- inspiration of course the Virgin Mother, and my absolutely fav cd I have for this time of year ,
A ROSE OF SWYCH VIRTU: REVERENCE FROM THE RENAISSANCE

Beeswax hued top layer in four different ambers and bottom layer creamy colored with Frankincense, Pinon Pitch, Copal and a touch of the sacred Damascus Rose. Top dusted with golden mica.

Mother's Milk- Top layer, a clearish honey color with nourishing Shea butter, ground walnut shells ( the same I use for the Mabon soaps),bottom layer brownish and all sweetened with real honey and scented with Almond nectar and oats.
Dusted with gold and cappuccino colored mica

mini scrub ( not mini like the halloween sample scrubs, same size as the smaller Witches Butter Balm)-
Winter Porridge: Steaming winter oats, smothered with melted butter, thick cream, and topped off with a saffron infused wild honey and dusted with ground walnut shells.
I tried a new technique, and I really like it, so the porridge is filling the tub then I pipe in the saffron honey into he middle , it doesn't convey as well in the small tubs, but I did a regular sized one as well to check it out, and it works great!!!!
